A woman has passed away from a freak lightning strike that arose while she was inside her backyard.
She reportedly died after sustaining serious injuries in Sydney’s outer south-west.
Emergency crews rushed to provide her with aid but it was just too late. After arriving at the hospital, she was pronounced dead. The victim is yet to be identified but she was said to be in her 40’s.
The NSW Ambulance mentioned how the other woman near her was also injured severely, getting hit on her face and her hands. She is said to be battling for her life in a serious condition at the hospital
For now, the cops have rolled out a crime scene home and are investigating the scenario and circumstances linked to the tragedy. A report will soon be prepared for the Coroner to describe what could have led to the disaster.
Both women were transferred to the Liverpool hospital which has declined to comment more on the issue as investigators continue to piece more parts of the puzzle together.
The families of both victims were informed about the tragedy and its outcome.
