“On May 10, 2025, around 9:45 AM, Nebraska State Patrol responded to a call in Johnson Lake, Plum Creek Canyon. Upon arriving at the home, officers discovered the bodies of all four family members.

The victims were identified as Jeremy Koch, 42, his wife Bailey, 41, and their two sons, Hudson, 18, and Asher, 16. Early investigations suggest that Jeremy tragically took the lives of his wife and sons before ending his own life.

The family had a public presence through a Facebook page called Anchoring Hope, created to offer support to those struggling with thoughts of suicide. Jeremy and Bailey, who had been together for over 25 years, shared their journey in hopes of helping others.

At the time of the tragedy, all four family members were found with knife wounds. Just the day before, on May 9th, Bailey posted on the page, expressing concern about Jeremy’s ongoing battle with suicidal thoughts. She shared how he had managed to work despite his struggles, saying, ‘While today hasn’t been the greatest, Jeremy had to fight suicidal thoughts all day, but he made it to work from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM before feeling too exhausted to continue. I’m proud of him for pushing through, and we’re grateful for the prayers and support from others.’”
