Jonathan Joss, beloved for his role as John Redcorn on King of the Hill, was tragically shot and killed by his neighbor, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, following a heated dispute on June 1. Alvarez, 56, has been arrested and charged with murder.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Joss’s husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, revealed that neither he nor Jonathan was armed during the attack. Jonathan courageously pushed Tristan out of harm’s way, saving his life. The couple believes this brutal assault stemmed from hate, pointing to the ongoing harassment they endured as an LGBT couple.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Police Department has stated that there is currently no evidence directly linking the murder to Joss’s sexual orientation, though the investigation continues.
