Yocalla, Bolivia — A devastating bus crash on February 17, 2025, has claimed the lives of at least 28 people and left 14 others injured after the vehicle careened off a winding mountain road and plummeted 2,600 feet into a ravine.
Authorities believe the crash was caused by excessive speed, which led the driver to lose control on the treacherous terrain of Yocalla, a region known for its dangerous roads.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene. Among the injured are four children—two of whom are in critical condition.
