Jill Biden Faces Elder Abuse Allegations Amid Renewed Scrutiny Over President’s Health
First Lady Jill Biden is facing growing criticism—and even calls for criminal investigation—following renewed speculation about former President Joe Biden’s health.
The controversy erupted after Biden disclosed on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer. The announcement sparked a wave of speculation, particularly among MAGA-aligned commentators, who allege that the diagnosis was long known but deliberately hidden from the public.
Fueling the fire was Leo Terrell, a former Fox News contributor and current senior counsel at the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse the First Lady of complicity in what he labeled “elder abuse.” In a pointed post, Terrell wrote: “Abuse of the Elderly! Criminal Indictments?”—a statement that quickly went viral and ignited a fierce debate.
The allegations suggest Jill Biden may have been aware of her husband’s condition for years while continuing to support his political ambitions, potentially placing him in harm’s way. Several medical experts have since weighed in, saying prostate cancer of this nature could go undetected—or unreported—for up to a decade.
Terrell’s post drew immediate backlash, including from within conservative circles. Some users accused him of politicizing a deeply personal health issue, while others warned of dangerous overreach, even calling his remarks “treasonous.”
Though former President Donald Trump initially issued a brief message wishing Biden well, his tone took a sharp turn during a press conference Monday. Trump questioned whether there had been a cover-up involving doctors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
“Someone isn’t telling the truth, and that’s a serious issue for the American people,” Trump stated.
Vice President JD Vance echoed that concern while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force Two. “We all hope for President Biden’s recovery,” he said. “But the American people deserve transparency. Was he truly fit for office?”
The White House and the Department of Justice have not yet responded to requests for comment.
