Newly surfaced footage obtained by Daily Mail has sparked concern among fans after it showed Elijah Blue Allman, son of singer Cher and the late Gregg Allman, appearing disheveled and in distress. The images depict him in a tattered shirt, visibly sweating, with swollen ankles and sores on his legs.

The video, reportedly taken amid his ongoing divorce proceedings, has triggered online reactions. Many followers were shocked by the 48-year-old’s state.
The footage has drawn widespread attention across social media platforms, with people expressing worry over his well-being and frustration about his situation.
On Facebook, several individuals shared their thoughts. One person wrote, “He was such a handsome young man. So sad. Praying he can turn his life around.”

Another commented, “Cher gave up on him.” A third added, “His mother was too busy with singing, traveling, plastic surgeries, promoting Chastity aka Chas nonsense, and lots of young men to take care of him. I hope it’s not too late.”

Over on Instagram, the sentiment was equally emotional. One netizen commented, “Fake fingernails and a camisole under his shirt ankles swollen, leg sores. Poor guy is in rough shape. He Needs help [sic].”
Another added, “As long as @cher is OK her children are a mess. Sad you only took care of yourself. Typical Hollywood parent [sic].”
A concerned follower wrote, “Awh, Eli really needs help. His wife left him, he’s definitely on a downwhril spiril. I do hope Cher steps in to get him help. Someone needs to. He’s never looked so bad. This is so sad [sic].”
Before the troubling footage showing Allman in poor condition resurfaced, a legal battle between him and his mother, Cher, had already ended.
On September 14, 2024, Cher dropped her request for a conservatorship over her son’s personal and financial affairs, according to a statement from his legal team.

The singer first filed the request in December 2023. She argued that Allman, then 47, was dealing with serious mental health and substance abuse issues. Cher claimed he was “substantially unable to manage his financial resources” and feared he would misuse money from a trust set up by his late father.

Her legal team expressed concern that any funds distributed to Allman would “be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk.” They stated she had “worked tirelessly to get Allman into treatment and get him the help he needs.”

The court denied two emergency requests for temporary conservatorship. In rejecting them, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Jessica Uzcategui said Allman had demonstrated that he had “managed his finances” and “remained drug free.”
The judge acknowledged Cher’s concern came from a place of care but added that her legal arguments were based on “hypotheticals” and “fears.”

By May 2024, both sides agreed to pause the court proceedings and attempt to resolve the matter privately. That process led to a settlement, which was confirmed in a brief hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on September 14.
In a statement to the BBC, Allman’s legal representatives at Cage & Miles said, “The outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today.”
